I'm anticipating getting started on a new project: building a hurdy gurdy from a kit by  http://www.nerdygurdy.nl/ .
As this blog has been my space for occasional postings of creative tech stuff I do, I plan to use it for updates on the building process of my Nerdy Gurdy.
My projected ideas for the Nerdy Gurdy are as follow:
- Add piezo pickup(s?) and a built-in preamp/tuner
- Add a wheel cover
- Use guitar-style bridge pins to anchor the drone strings
- A different 3D printed sound hole design
- Using stains and finishes from StewMac
